Squirrels

Ages 6 weeks to 12 months

Welcome to the world, Little One! Our infant classroom is a warm, welcoming environment with specially trained staff to care for our precious babies. We recognize that each child we care for has their unique internal schedule for eating and sleeping. Our class can comfortably follow the natural rhythm of each child in our care. Babies brains are developing rapidly at this stage, and we balance just enough stimuli to interest the baby in their environment, along with the freedom to move and explore.

Owls

12 months to 24 months

As babies transitions from the infant stage of development toward the toddler stage, we provide a unique environment for their new and expanding interests and needs. At this stage, they are continuing the development of their fine motor skills, gross motor development and their awareness of the world around them. We provide specially designed materials to support this development. They graduate to a playground with small climbing structures to further their gross motor explorations. They begin to grasp the meaning of community and empathy with the support and encouragement of our teaching staff. We make careful observations of children and communicate essential milestones.

Raccoons

24 months to 36 months

As the child shows increasing development in the area of independence, they will be encouraged to do as many things as possible for themselves, like putting on their shoes, gathering supplies for nap time, and cleaning up their toys. We observe for signs they are ready for potty training and work with our parents to develop individual strategies to facilitate the transition from diapers to cloth underwear.

Foxes

Ages 3 to 4 years

Our preschool program has focused goals in the areas of cognitive, social, physical and language and literacy growth. Our classroom aims to help children develop relationships and foster peer interactions as they transition from independent play to cooperative play. We have a balance of structured and unstructured play times both inside the classroom, outside on the playground and in our gymnasium. We support the child in their quest for knowledge by listening to the child as they express what their interests are. Their learning is reflected to both the parent and the child though documentation of their increasing knowledge as it relates to our core focused goals.

Deer

Ages 4 to 5 years

Our pre-kindergarten program continues to focus on the cognitive development of a child as well as social interactions, gross motor development, and language and literacy growth. It is an important transition year that prepares them for their primary school education. We focus on projects that deepen their understanding of math, science, pre-reading/writing, and their environment. We have a balance of teacher-initiated experiences and child-directed experiences, paying particular attention to the child’s progress throughout the year.

Bears

Ages 4 to 12 years

Our school-age program recognizes that the child has spent an entire day focusing on their education. We offer refuge from the demands of school and focus on relaxing, fun activities that encourage social interaction and group cooperation. We offer an afterschool snack, as well as a quiet space for 20 to 30 minutes to do the necessary homework (if the parent would like), freeing up your evening to enjoy your family time at home. We provide transportation to and from 3 elementary schools in Wilsonville in our safety certified 14 passenger school buses. We are open and available for care during in-service days, some holidays, and weather-related school closures (as long as it is safe for our school to be open).  During spring and winter breaks, we offer structured activities as well as special field trips away from the school.

Bears Summer Program

We believe summer should be fun, and we have created a program that will be a joy for children to attend. During our SUMMER CAMP experience, we embark on exciting adventures each week that focuses on a weekly theme. Our summer camp coordinator works hard to find the most engaging field trips and guest presenters to enhance the child’s experience making it a summer they will never forget. Every day we venture out of the school and into a park for a picnic and fun activities. Our weekly exciting field trips are designed to bring enjoyment to all the children, and we even sneak in a little learning along the way!  We get out of the school — and into the world to make sure every child never feels like they are missing out on classic summer experiences.
